Just sel perioodil s\u00fcndis W110 &#8211; Mercedese mudel, mis pani aluse E-klassi legendile. Sabauime <em>elik<\/em> &#8220;Hechflosse&#8221;, nagu seda mudeli perekonda hellitavalt autoajaloos kutsutakse, on \u00e4ratuntav oma terava ja joonelise sabauime j\u00e4rgi, lisades visuaalselt k\u00f5netavat v\u00e4\u00e4rtust W110 insenerilikkuse aususele ja ajatule elegantsile. Esmaesitlus toimus 1961. aasta Frankfurti auton\u00e4itusel. W110 s\u00fcnd vahetas v\u00e4lja Pontoni-seeriast W121 mudeli. T\u00f5si, viimast toodeti veel W110 esmaesitlusest \u00fcks aasta hiljem. T\u00e4na, k\u00fcmneid ja k\u00fcmneid aastaid hiljem, sobib see m\u00f5te valatult teemakangelast Harjumaa suveteedele saatma. Mercedes-Benz 190c ja 190Dc toodeti ajavahemikus 1961-1968. See oli esimeseks keskklassi Mercedese s\u00f5iduautoks, millel turvatsoonid (B\u00e9la Bar\u00e9nyi disain), j\u00e4ik salong ja kokkup\u00f5rkeenergiat neelavad esiosad. Kapoti alla loodi ja paigaldati 55-hobuj\u00f5uline 1.9 R4 surematu OM621 diiselmootor, mis suuteline l\u00e4bima miljoneid kilomeetreid. Antud j\u00f5uallikas on tuntud oma vastupidavuse ja rahuliku iseloomu poolest. Veermiku konstrueerimisega oli l\u00e4bivaks mugavuse eelistamine sportlikkusele. Vedrustus oli s\u00f5ltumatu kahe \u00f5\u00f5tshoova ja stabilisaatoriga, taga keskmise liigendiga ja keskmise kompenseeriva vedruga. S\u00f5ites andis see autole iseloomuliku &#8220;ujuva&#8221; s\u00f5idutunde, mida kohalolijad tajusid justkui v\u00e4ikese laevaga l\u00e4bi lainete liikumisena. W110 kasutas sama kere, mida suuremad velid, erinevusteks oli vaid 5 sentimeetrit l\u00fchem teljevahe ja 14.5 sentimeetrit kitsam ninaosa. Varasemad 190c ja 190Dc mudelid asendusid 200 ja 230 mudelitega. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jalavarjud ei olnud disainielemendid, vaid puhtaks tehniliseks komponendiks. Erikeredena toodetid Lorchis kiirabiautosid ja Mechelenis IMA universaale. Viimased W110 toodetu 1960-ndate l\u00f5pus, ning tema j\u00e4rglasmudeliks sai Strich-Acht (W114\/W115). 190D ja -Dc diiselmootoriga versioone on Mercedese enda arhiivides nimetatud kui \u00fcle \u00fche miljoni kilomeetri ilma kapitaalremondita l\u00e4binud autodeks. Sabauim ei olnud Heckflossedel pelgalt disainitrikiks, vaid t\u00e4itis juhi jaoks olulist rolli visuaalsete orientiiridena ja aerod\u00fcnaamiliste stabilisaatoritena k\u00fclgtuule vastu. T\u00e4iesti t\u00f5siselt &#8211; Mercedese disanerid tegid tagauimed selleks, et juhil oleks lihtsam hinnata auto tagumist nurka parkimisel.
